As a Metrology Applications Manager at Micron, you will lead a team in the use of industry leading semiconductor metrology equipment and processes to identify and solve issues. Your team would manage the measurement technology to develop methods of monitoring and improving line performance and fab health. We need leaders who are passionate about developing their team, delivering solutions to our internal customers, and driving our supplier's road maps to meet our future inspection needs. This position will provide the opportunity for you to collaborate with process integration, process development, data science, and yield analysis within and outside our newest high volume manufacturing fab. As a ID1 Metrology Applications Manager, your leadership and innovation will have the ability to impact the team globally. You and your team will be responsible to develop effective methods of detection and quantification of semiconductor processing issues and defects. You will develop recipes and strategies that will be implemented in the ID1 facility and transferred to global manufacturing network.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with defect inspection equipment desired.
Experience managing or mentoring engineers
Demonstrated project management ability
Excellent technical, communication, and analytical skills
Proactive and passionate about learning and mentoring your team

Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive effective change in an energizing environment
Demonstrated combination of flexibility and tenacity in the pursuit of goals
Ideal candidates will have a solid knowledge of semiconductor metrology methods and technologies
We desire someone with an engineering or related degree with a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in a 300mm semiconductor environment
Responsibilities:
Encourage a safe work environment.
Mentor your team in developing methods of advanced measurement techniques on leading DRAM development.
Build an environment of continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor, looking for ways to improve operations, and how to make a difference today!
Develop measurement roadmaps to drive our internal and external partners enabling a clear path to future memory needs
Manage projects internal to your team and across functional areas.
Direct your team to recognize detection gaps and implement strategies that enable effective monitoring of FMEA issues.
Develop clear metrics for measurement quality and drive improvements.
Build and improve upon measurement techniques and identify new ways to use existing tools in order to identify relevant process issues
We expect active participation in technical meetings and then synthesize from it new opportunities or novel approaches
Collaborate with the global network to develop best known methods and maintain alignment between sites
Education:
Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, or related field.
