Operations Manager

The Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient day-to-day operations of the branch, including leading a team of Operations employees and managing the branch's annual budget and operating plan.

What You'll Do

* Oversee compliance with corporate policy on health and safety, environmental affairs and operations standards at the local level to include all training, documentation and records. Verify daily recordkeeping is followed in accordance with client rules and regulations

* Serve as a liaison between client, site managers, and site technicians.

* Work with ChemCare Account Manager, Field Service Manager, Project Manager to identify and secure new project opportunities on client campuses You will be leading the daily safe, efficient, legal, and economical operations of the different customer location sites

* Facilitating compliance to corporate health, safety, and environmental affairs policies, including completion of scheduling, trainings, documentation, and record-keeping.

* Managing day-to-day work activities to ensure operational goals and objectives are met.

* Ensuring sure all employees have the required tools and training on safety, operation standards, and department goals.

* Helping to build a positive work environment and encouraging employee ownership of branch operations and performance.

* Leading interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating direct reports

What you'll need

* High School Diploma/GED required

* Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

* 5+ years of experience in Operations

* In-depth knowledge of local, state and federal regulations affecting facilities in area of responsibility.

* HazMat certified, Hazwoper certified, DOT certification (HM181)

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Strong computer skills

* Working knowledge of governmental requirements related to the chemical industry, i.e. OSHA, EPA, RCRA, DOT, specific state agency rules and laws or demonstrated ability to attain such knowledge

* Leadership: ability to communicate with, support, and motivate others to achieve operational objectives
