Overview:Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

Establish divisional/cost-center budgetary goals and objectives in accordance with administrative policy and direction, review monthly reports for accuracy, and ensure the fiscal integrity of rehabilitative services.

Produce and review policies and procedures for rehabilitative services. Ensure departmental compliance with policies, procedures and rules/regulations that pertain to the provision of rehabilitative services.

Provide for and manage competent and efficient staff, ensure safe and effective treatment of patients, and evaluate for performance against established practice standards, rules/regulations, and hospital policies.

Examine/assess referred patients to ensure the appropriate plan of care is established and treatment is provided based on recommendations.

5. Complete appropriate required continuing education units and maintains an active state licensure; provide services to state and national organizations as required and/or necessary; provide professional instruction and expertise to the local community as needed.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary: Responsible for the administration of all aspects of the rehabilitation staff and clinics/campuses and programs, including organization, program planning, coordinating with other department directors and administration, and managing fiscal and other assets. Examine, plan and administer appropriate rehab treatments to patients referred by the appropriate professional(s).

Qualifications:Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required: Those obtained through the acquisition of the required degree and professional license, and experience. CPR certification.

Education: Bachelor, Masters or Doctor in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech/Language Pathology degree.

Experience: 3-5 years of management experience with increasing responsibility supervising multiple rehabilitative disciplines in clinics, agencies and/or hospitals/SNFs.
