Insight Global is looking for a Research Scientist to join the research group for one of our life science clients based out of Bridgewater, NJ. This person will be engaged in the discovery, early development, and testing of pharmaceutical products to treat rare diseases. This person will conduct cell based tests using techniques such as western blotting, qPCR, flow cytometry and ELISA. They will also provide statistical analyses using Excel, GraphPad Prism and FlowJo. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a high attention to detail and strong communication skills. This is a 6 month contract and will be on site 5 days a week. (See additional details below) Develop, troubleshoot and execute studies of new products using cell-based procedures (this includes In vitro, ex vivo, and in vivo experimentation) Isolate and culture primary cells or cell lines Conduct tests to evaluate effects of products on cell responses using a variety of techniques (western blotting, qPCR, flow cytometry and ELISA) Prepare and maintain a constant supply of reagents, buffers and other materials Perform data and statistical analyses using Excel, GraphPad Prism and FlowJo Maintain accurate, detailed and timely records in electronic notebooks Summarize experimental results and present findings at monthly internal meetings Collaborate alongside a cross-functional team that includes immunologists, chemists, and biologists to drive drug developmentWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Master's degree in biology, immunology or related scientific discipline Experience working with immune cells and hematopoietic stem cells Experience working with cellular imaging-based instruments and fluorescence microscopyBachelor's Degree in biology, immunology or related scientific discipline 2 - 3 years experience working in a research lab (can include academia) Experience with wide range of cell and molecular biology techniques including western blotting, qPCR, flow cytometry and ELISA Experience with data processing and analysis using Excel, GraphPad Prism and FlowJo Experience optimizing or developing cellular and molecular biology procedures
