- Develop leading-edge microLEDs optimized for multi-terabit-per-second communications
- Hiring for multiple roles including junior to senior engineers and management
- Enable volume manufacturing partners to develop components and scale production
- Various disciplines/specializations:
- GaN epitaxy/characterization
- LED wafer fab process engineering
- Hybrid optical integration and packaging
- Optical component characterization
Qualifications:
- BS, MS or PhD in Materials Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Applied Physics, depending on position seniority
- Relevant industry experience in GaN LED development
- Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics and semiconductor characterization techniques (SIMS, XRD, SEM, TEM, etc.).
- Knowledge of light extraction techniques and optics
- Experience with design and test of high-speed optoelectronics
- Experience with semiconductor wafer fabrication processes (photolithography, thin film metal deposition, dielectrics, wet/dry etching, etc.)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, working with or managing peers, engineers, and technicians.
- Ability to overcome unforeseen challenges in a dynamic work environment with shifting timelines
