- This position will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the Microsoft 365 security platform.
- This position requires expert-level knowledge of Entra/Azure.
- Active Directory Premium, Defender for Office 365, Azure Information Protection, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, Data Loss Prevention, and Conditional Access.
- The Security Architect has experience in designing and implementing complex security solutions and should possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- Required Minimum Training: Graduation from a four-year college or university or equivalent training and experience in the field of work related to the position's role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
- Expert-level knowledge of Entra/Azure Active Directory Premium, Defender for Office 365, Azure Information Protection, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, Data Loss Prevention, and Conditional Access.
- Experience with security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are preferred.
Professional Licenses/Certifications:
- Microsoft SC-100: Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect.
- Microsoft SC-200: Microsoft Security Operations Analyst.
- Microsoft SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator.
- Microsoft SC-400: Microsoft Information Protection Administrator.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Implement and configure Entra/Azure Active Directory Premium, Defender for Office 365, Azure Information Protection, Defender for Cloud Apps, Defender for Identity, Data Loss Prevention, and Conditional Access based on.
- Develop detailed project plans, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications for security platform implementation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to clients and team members on M365 Security solutions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the security architecture integrates effectively with the overall IT infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging threats and technologies and make recommendations for enhancements to security engagements.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing and training sessions for team members and agency employees.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members and agency employees in a fast-paced environment.
- Stay up-to-date with current and future platform advancements through continuous learning opportunities.
Work Environment:
- This job operates in a professional office environment onsite, remotely, and in a hybrid capacity.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines.
- In addition, familiarity with the front-end Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and any additional programs or equipment used to execute specific tasks as required for the role.
