You will work with our customers to build the cloud systems infrastructure, focusing on orchestration, security, availability and performance. A successful candidate has strong experience with Azure Cloud services, is self-driven, enjoys learning new technologies, and is willing to stretch themselves to become a stronger engineer and mentor others around them to do the same.Responsibilities:Overall operational excellence with Azure cloud services. Including but not limited to optimizing cost/capacity ratios, proper monitoring, scaling, implementing and validating database DR scenarios, networking, and security frameworks.Developing effective cloud infrastructure, enforcing good architectural principles, providing technical oversight, and ensuring security best practices are implemented and followed.Develop infrastructure as code on Azure using best practices and implementations across all environments from dev to production.Aid in reviewing design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.Qualifications or equivalent:Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience5+ years of system infrastructure design and implementation experience3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Azure experience2+ years of Powershell or equivalentExcellent written and oral communication skillsTeam player who can coordinate across customer business units to achieve operational excellenceRequired knowledge / experience: Experience with planning and deploying Azure IaaS deployments, migrations, network, and security frameworks.Cloud infrastructure architecture and principlesSQL Azure, Cosmos DB, or equivalentElastic DB, Azure Search, or equivalentAzure Cloud Services and App Services or equivalentUnderstanding of Azure networking including Azure public cloud and Azure Hybrid Cloud topologies.A working understanding of code and script (PHP, JavaScript, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)Strongly desired: Kubernetes or similar container orchestration systemsAnsibleDocker ContainersAzure Active DirectoryAzure StackContinuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (Release Management)Azure Certifications
