Responsibilities:This position is responsible for leading and directing the department responsible for producing structural steel and rebar fabrication shop drawings for exciting construction projects throughout the Midwest. Additional duties include overseeing the progress for all engineering jobs, ensuring contract and shop drawings adhere to regulatory requirements, allocating resources efficiently to meet deadlines, and communicating with clients and internal departments to make sure projects are progressing and being completed on time.
Qualifications:Qualifications include 8+ years of hands-on engineering experience in a construction environment. Expertise with interpreting contract and shop drawings and specifications - specifically structural, architectural, mechanical, and civil drawings is mandatory. The Engineering Department Manager role requires a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and experience with steel fabrication. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and CAD expertise are essential to this position.
