Job Description: Mid-Level Graphic Designer
The Graphic Designers we are looking for must have a solid understanding of graphic design in both print and digital applications. Core responsibilities include creating graphic designs for print and digital materials including web interfaces and pages, app interfaces, brochures, identity architecture, icons, informational graphics, and experience creating and maintaining style guides.
Graphic Designers are responsible for creating and executing on design templates, with direction from and collaboration with our Creative Directors and our interdisciplinary team. You will also be responsible for understanding brand needs/wants and interpreting those into designs based on desired style.
Successful candidates must have strong proven communication skills and a firm grasp of design programs such as the. Adobe creative suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Experience Design), Sketch and more and must have the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies and a willingness to keep their skills and industry knowledge current. Graphic Designers will frequently assist Sr. Team members to ensure projects are being implemented correctly and that all needs are being met.
Specific Role & Responsibilities
· Work with Senior Leadership to optimize products and services for a range of clients
· Conduct internal research and usability testing to ensure all designs met client and user requirements
· Analyze all research and feedback to gain user insight in order to incorporate into new designs
· Assist in the production of concept sketches, prototypes, interaction designs etc.
· Help to create clean and simple user-centered designs
· Work with our other designers and 3rd Party developers to build user-friendly graphic experiences for a variety of material.
· Assist Sr. Leadership in creating design rationale, specifications and additional items as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
· 4-6 years of experience in graphic design with a strong background in digital applications
· Strong communication skills
· Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, XD)
· Experience working in fast paced start up environments, leading and working with multiple teams (especially technology, creative, media, strategy and product development)
· Experience with interactive projects is highly desired including, app development, web development and display advertising
· Experienced with multiple campaign lifecycles from business development to final delivery
· Strong storytelling skills: ability to make complicated visual concepts accessible and engaging
· Experience in applying marketing analytics, marketing automation and customer insights to brand strategy, campaign planning, field marketing and UX design is a plus.
· Strong understanding of social media platforms and an interest in experimentation/various communication formats is a plus.
· Knowledge of publication design, processing, and current techniques a plus.
