The position requires membership in the Patent Bar (USPTO Registration Number) and 1-5 years of patent prosecution experience.
Duties:
- Conducting patent prosecution and drafting patent applications related to life sciences technologies.
- Providing legal counsel and support on intellectual property matters, including patentability assessments, freedom-to-operate analyses, and due diligence reviews.
- Managing client relationships and communication regarding intellectual property strategies and portfolio management.
- Conducting legal research and analysis to support client initiatives and litigation efforts in the life sciences field.
- Collaborating with other attorneys and stakeholders within the firm to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
Requirements:
- Patent Bar membership (USPTO Registration Number) is required.
- 1-5 years of patent prosecution experience in a biotechnology practice.
- Advanced degree (Ph.D.) in a life sciences technology area is preferred.
- Strong understanding of intellectual property laws and regulations, particularly related to patent prosecution in the life sciences industry.
