Job Description:

ZGF is seeking a dynamic and well-rounded Mid-Level Interior Architect / Designer to join our team in our Washington, DC office. We are looking for thoughtful individuals with excellent communication and technical skills. The ideal candidate will have between 5-10 years of professional experience and will bring design excellence to every project.As a Mid-Level Interior Architect / Designer, you will…Perform interior design/architectural assignments with general direction, no immediate supervision, and work independently as well as collaboratively with others toward design solutionsAssist in developing design and technical solutions for projects in all phases, including graphics, renderings, and performance metrics for the successful communication of the design goalsProvide production of design drawings, presentation drawings, and digital models in support of design teamsHave a passion for programming, planning, materiality, detailing, and furnishingsResearch products and materials, review existing projects, and those under construction to inform the production of design documentationAssist in the project's narrative for meeting building performance goals, including metrics, verification, and design integrationContribute to the effective performance of the Project Team regarding project quality, schedule, and budgetAssist in the execution of Construction Administration responsibilities and project close-outContribute to general office-wide initiatives and marketing effortsDemonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challengesHelp build relationships with clients and consultants with team leadersSupervision and mentorship of junior staffQualifications:A professional Interior Design or Architectural degree5-10 years of related experienceAbility to thrive in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environmentHighly motivated, proactive, and passionateWell-organized and detail-orientedExcellent team communication skills, design presentation, and storytelling skillsExperience detailing and execution of construction documents with minimal supervisionExperience with complex multi-phased higher education, healthcare, and/or corporate workplace projects is desiredProficiency in Revit, Enscape, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft OfficeFurniture specification and documentation experience preferredNCIDQ Certified and/or licensed architects with LEED, WELL, or FITWEL accreditation are preferredBase Salary Range$80.000/yr - $115.000/yrBenefitsZGF Employees Enjoy Medical, Dental and Vision coverage with a generous employer contribution, HSA with employer contribution, 401k with employer match, 4 weeks of PTO and 10 paid holidays per year, paid parental and family leave programs.Apply With:Cover letterResumeWork samplesZGF Architects LLP is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
