Mid-Level Litigation Associate, New York Office

Seiden Law LLP, an experienced litigation and regulatory firm in Manhattan, is seeking a litigation associate to work with a team of seasoned lawyers and support staff on interesting complex litigation and arbitration matters. Candidates must have at least five-eight years of litigation experience in federal and state court and be ready to start at once. We are seeking highly motivated individuals who desire to work on fascinating cases from clients around the world and practice at the highest level while having significant responsibility and front-line exposure. This role will include:

  • Interfacing with clients, courts, arbitral bodies, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
  • Researching with regard to complex legal matters
  • Drafting, editing, and, if applicable, arguing memos, complaints, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Working with experts and witnesses.
  • Undertaking all aspects of pre-trial litigation and arbitration, including discovery, depositions, and expert testimony.
  • Developing and implementing affirmative litigation strategies.
  • Assisting the firm's senior attorneys in supervising various duties delegated to legal & non-legal staff.
  • Participating in some interviewing and supervising of legal interns

Credentials:

  • Excellent academic credentials
  • J.D. from accredited law school
  • Experience in civil litigation (5-8 years)
  • Experience in big law preferred
  • Licensed to practice law in New York
  • Outstanding references

  • Must have exceptional legal writing skills and excellent legal research skills
