Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Middle Office Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OTC and listed trading products and associated settlement platforms including interest rate swaps, interest rate swaptions, CDS, CDX, CDX Options, equities, and bonds. The Middle Office Operations Analyst will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of trade support, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities:

Trade Support:

  • Provide real-time support for trading desks by confirming and validating trades accurately and promptly.
  • Resolve trade discrepancies and discrepancies in a timely manner, collaborating with trading desks and counterparties.

Confirmation and Settlement:

  • Confirm trades with counterparties using platforms such as ICELink, MarkitWire, CTM Omgeo, NYFIX and/or Traiana to ensure all confirmations are accurate and complete.

Reconciliation:

  • Perform daily reconciliations of trade positions, cash, and collateral with counterparties and internal systems.
  • Investigate and resolve any breaks or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Collateral Management:

  • Collaborate with trading desks, counterparties, and the Treasury department to optimize collateral usage and mitigate risks.

Risk Management:

  • Work closely with risk management teams to ensure accurate reporting and monitoring of market, credit, and operational risk associated with trading products.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement changes and optimize workflows.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in Middle Office Operations.
  • Strong understanding of the trade lifecycle, confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation processes across a variety of financial instruments.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Desire and ability to work with cross-functional teams in operations and technology.
  • Prior coding knowledge in SQL, Python, or VBA would be useful, enhancing the ability to automate tasks and analyze data more effectively.

Salary Range:

The expected base salary for this New York, New York based position is $125,000 - $160,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.
