- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to build positive & appropriate rapport with students.
- Experience working with/supervising students
- Physically able to continuously walk the hallways of the building.
- Able to effectively prevent and/or intercede in student altercations in the building.
- Trained in de-escalation techniques, preferred.
- Ability to follow verbal and written directions.
- Ability to use good judgment in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Possess effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience using general technology equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Supervise conduct of students in all areas within the school and support the staff with student behavior management.
- Ensure that students are all following District and school policies and guidelines.
- Ensures smooth traffic flow of students through the hallways, assists students with on-time arrival to class and to assigned locations as needed including parking lot supervision.
- Assist with fire drills and other emergency building evacuations / lock downs.
- Maintain security records and protect strict confidentiality of all information.
- Supervise lunchroom during all appropriate times as directed.
- Inform the building administration of all conduct believed to require student discipline or police contact.
- Assist in updating discipline guidelines for students and staff.
- Responds to all email, phone, written and verbal communications as directed.
