We are one community, on two campuses, with three divisions, united in our commitment to put students first as we educate them in mind, body, and spirit.Summary of Position:The school seeks an experienced Golf coach who is involved in the community and dedicated to carrying out the mission of the school. This position is a part-time, exempt staff position. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Athletics. The coach will work seasonally as needed for the sport assigned.Job Details:Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Evaluating performance and providing suitable feedback, balancing criticism with positivity and motivationAssessing strengths and weaknesses in a participant's performance and identifying areas for further developmentAdapting to the needs and interests of group or individual participantsEffectively communicating instructionDemonstrating an activity by breaking the task down into a sequenceEncouraging participants to gain and develop skills, knowledge and techniquesEnsuring that participants train and perform to a high standard of health and safety at all timesInspiring confidence and self-beliefDeveloping knowledge and understanding of fitness, injury, sports psychology, nutrition and sports scienceActing as a role model, gaining the respect and trust of the people you work withWorking to a high legal and ethical standard at all times, particularly in relation to issues such as child safeguarding and health and safety requirementsProducing personalized training programsMaintaining records of participant performanceCoordinating participants' attendance at meetings and other sports eventsPlanning and running programs of activities for groups and individualsFinding appropriate competitions for participantsPlanning and scheduling practices and gamesRequirementsRequired Experience, Degree, and Skills:Prior years coaching or athletic experience is preferredOrganization and time management skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsPositive attitude towards students, staff and facultyHigh-energy positive style of engagement with studentsAbility to coach independently and without directionDisplays integrity, professionalism, and high character at all timesPlease submit an online application for employment and attach a cover letter and resume.
