Whether you're joining our administrative team, a Clubhouse team, a school-based team, or our Camp Mendocino team, you'll be surrounded by enthusiastic, talented, and passionate colleagues who wake up every day ready to inspire young people to reach their full potential.Position PurposeAs the Middle School Services Director, you'll lead and enhance our programs for 5th to 8th graders. Your goal is to support their development through academic achievement, healthy habits, good character, community involvement, and career readiness. You'll work with a team of youth development professionals and collaborate with other Middle School Directors to create an impactful Club culture.This position is a Non-Exempt Full Time (30+ hours weekly) supporting our Columbia Park Clubhouse. This position is benefits-eligible. KEY ROLES (ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES):
  • Develop and manage middle school programs to build life skills and meet BGCSF's strategic goals.
  • Foster a Middle School Club culture emphasizing social-emotional learning, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Support members in academic, career, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver an exceptional Club experience.
  • Drive participation and engagement in citywide programs and activities.
  • Mentor members, helping them set and achieve goals for academic and personal success.
  • Analyze attendance data and recommend improvements to enhance the middle school experience.
  • Manage and interpret the Club's middle school attendance and program participation data, make recommendations to Club leadership on how to improve the middle school experience, and drive participation.
  • Build relationships with school administrators and teachers to strengthen connections.
  • Attend IEP (Individualized Education Plan) meetings as needed and support transitions between grade levels.
  • Prepare and submit reports to meet program requirements.
RequirementsSKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE Minimum Qualifications:
  • Background in Early Childhood Development, Education, or related fields preferred.
  • Proficient in data analysis for decision-making and assessing student needs.
  • Experienced in curriculum development and implementing policies for student achievement.
  • Committed to creating high-quality youth programs with an optimistic, innovative approach.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to manage multiple priorities and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university or related work experience.
  • Current Red Cross First Aid/CPR certification (or within 90 days of employment).
  • Valid CA Class C Driver's License, comfortable driving in San Francisco and transporting youth members.
  • Language Skills: Fluent/Bilingual in Spanish.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand for at least 2 hours consecutively.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.

Pay:The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and BGCSF needs. At BGCSF, our decisions are based on other factors and dependent on circumstances for each position. Depending on the need and requirement of the position, an individual could be hired at or near the entry level, mid - level or top of the range for their role and compensation.
