Job Description:
One of our top law firm clients is seeking a talented and motivated Midlevel Litigation Associate to join their New York office. This position offers an outstanding opportunity to work on complex business litigation matters in a collegial and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent a diverse range of businesses and individuals in complex business litigation matters.
- Engage in all phases of litigation, including pleadings, motions, discovery, trials, and appeals.
- Manage large and sophisticated litigation cases in federal and state court proceedings and alternative dispute resolution venues.
- Conduct legal research and draft high-quality legal briefs, motions, and other litigation documents.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys and clients.
- Participate in court appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
- Maintain client relationships and provide excellent client service.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from a top-tier law school with excellent academic credentials.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in complex business litigation; a judicial clerkship is preferred but not required.
- At least two years of experience in a litigation position at a law firm.
- Superb written and oral advocacy skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large and sophisticated litigation matters.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
Preferred Attributes:
- Proven track record of handling complex litigation cases successfully.
- Experience in federal and state court proceedings.
- Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution processes.
