Position Type: Food ServiceDate Posted: 10/23/2024Location: Milaca ElementaryDate Available: November 2024Closing Date: Until FilledPosition Title: Dishroom and Server Support Reports To: Food Service Director Supervises: None Hours of Work: 11:00AM - 1:45PM - 2.75 Hour Days (start time and end time, may be adjusted) Terms of Employment: Notice of Assignment Salary: $16.89 / Hour Qualifications: Demonstrate aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities EDUCATION/APTITUDE: • High school diploma or equivalent preferred. • Able to perform basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, division, multiplication and basic algebra). • Clear state criminal and child abuse background checks. • Communicate information and ideas effectively to others. • Organize, prioritize and accomplish a variety of assigned tasks. • Work independently and/or as a team to complete tasks and meet goals. • Recognize problems, determine causes and take appropriate action for resolution. • Take direction and respond to requests in a courteous, helpful manner. • Ability to be trained to meet job responsibilities. • Dependable, punctual, reliable, accurate and safe worker. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: • Possess or Ability to Obtain ServSafe Certification EXPERIENCE: Experience in food service, preparation and or catering preferred. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE: 1. Identify and recognize safe building/working conditions and school safety procedures. 2. Notify supervisors concerning the need for repairs. 3. Correctly use and dispose of cleaning products. 4. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and equipment to prevent damages to property, self and others. 5. Ability to work cooperatively in a courteous and time sensitive manner with colleagues, supervisors, students, staff and the general public on a daily basis. 6. Ability to comply with all local, state and federal safety regulations. 7. Attend safety in-services, trainings and school meetings as requested. 8. Report to work each day on time clean neat and in uniform. 9. Assist visiting public and staff courteous manner. 10. Ability to read, understand and follow chemical data/handling bulletins,nutrition labels, recipes, and equipment warnings and directions. 11. Ability to problem solve, anticipate and prevent foreseeable problems. 12. Ability to assist other staff with their duties. 13. Ability to maintain a clean and healthy work environment for food preparations and serving. 14. Ability to transport, clean and food preparation equipment. 15. Capable of frequent to constant standing and walking on floors which may be concrete, terrazzo, vinyl tile, ceramic tile, and rubber mats for over 75% of the workday. 4. Capable of frequent to constant lifting and holding objects weighing up to 50 pounds. 5. Capable of lifting 50 pounds from floor to chest level and up to 40 pounds from waist to overhead (74 ). 6. Capable of repetitively lifting up to 50 pounds from floor to waist level on an occasional to frequent basis. 7. Capable of carrying 50 pounds at waist level up 50steps. 8. Capable of pushing and or pulling carts and equipment loaded with or weighing over 100£s. 9. Capable of circular motion tasks (i.e. washing, scrubbing, etc.) with the hands up to 10 minutes at a time. 10. Capable of working in extreme temperatures, in a humid, cramped, busy, loud environment around children. 18. Capable of climbing step stools and stepladders to reach equipment and storage shelves. 16. Good balance and ability to walk while carrying loads of up to 50 pounds. 17. Good to excellent vision, hearing along with the ability to taste, feel and smell. 18. Capable of using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for job tasks. 19. Capable of operating commercial dishwashers, disposals and other equipment needed for the cleaning and sanitizing of dishes and cookware in a commercial setting. 20. Ability to set up, clean and organize dishwashing area. 21.
