What we want

The Military Admissions Office is seeking a Counseling Advisor II, who will provide admissions counseling and advice to the veteran community and their immediate families as potential TAMU applicants. Our ideal candidate is organized and a multitasker with a desire to be a contributing team member to serve veterans. Since veterans are our primary focus, the ideal candidate should have an appreciation for the difficulties veterans traditionally have in returning to the classroom after serving their country. We meet our veteran applicants online or in person and we provide admissions sessions to group audiences on the TAMU campus as well as off campus, so we require an effective communicator experienced in similar situations. As the face of TAMU to our external audience including veteran applicants, community colleges and military education facilities, we are looking for a friendly, people-focused teammate who desires to learn the TAMU admissions process.
