Job Description:

SAIC is seeking a Requirements Lead in support of our Navy customer. This position will support the NAVSEA Technology Office (SEA 05T) in the new Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM) Special Project Office (SPO). The Requirements Lead will support NAVSEA 05T in an action officer type billet.

Candidate will be remote in the Metro DC area and will be required to travel to the Navy Yard or Pentagon about twice a week for meetings. An active Secret clearance is required.

The AdvM SPO Requirements Lead shall support the Program Lead with the creation of AdvM plans, projects and analyses to assess and recommend solutions for current and future requirements for Navy adoption and integration of Advanced Manufacturing methodologies with the associated technologies, materials and components. Advanced Manufacturing technologies may include manufacturing and repair processes utilizing computing (i.e. CAD, CAE, and CAM), robotics, automation and control technologies. Support may include, but not be limited to materials and material database development; material characterization and process development; specification and standards development; shipboard integration and testing of advanced and additive manufacturing equipment; technical data package for AdvM components development and management; file sharing and networking of equipment; interfacing with various ship class program offices and fleet outreach for development of integration requirements.

The qualified candidate will support NAVSEA 05T by providing or possessing the following:

  • Coordinate the development of top-level requirements with OPNAV Staff to include all required DOD 5000 series mandated documentation.
  • Flow top-level requirements into system level requirements for distribution across Navy stakeholders.
  • Align AdvM requirements and deliverables across Navy organizations (SYSCOMs, Fleet).
  • Manage and Control requirement changes.
  • Support the Program Manager in communicating AdvM efforts to OSD and other Navy stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the collection of all requirement documents related to qualification/certification efforts across the SYSCOMs, to include reports, roadmaps, and program direction that align to the Navy AdvM Requirements baseline.
  • Participate in Joint AdvM working groups across DOD.
  • Align/recommend line of efforts direction, deliverables, and collaboration opportunities.

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • 10% CONUS travel
  • OPNAV/ Joint/ OSD staff Requirements Experience.
  • Experience with DoD Acquisition Programs
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Business process improvement skills
Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
