Title: Milk ReceivingClassification/Job Grade: HourlyLocation: Battle Creek, MIDepartment: ReceivingSupervised by: ManagerJob Summary: Our milk receiving position is fun and fast paced. This job requires someone who enjoys working closely with others and can communicate effectively. We are looking for individuals who want a long term position, are detail oriented and multitaskers. This is a very physical position - you won't need a gym! We have one opening, the position is 12pm - finish (estimated 10 hours per day), Sunday - Wednesday. During training, new hire will work Mon - Friday 6am-2pm, then will be converted to some weekend at completion of training. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensures milk is received within specifications and meets all food safety and quality requirements
- Ability to pull milk samples for testing
- Maintains sample integrity by properly storing them
- Ensures the Silo is properly drained prior to receiving into it
- Responsible for washing tankers and silos
- Washing is done by the automated CIP system. Must check chemical concentrations to ensure proper washing. Mark the CIP chart accordingly
- Maintains proper documentation (i.e. silo used to receive milk)
- Accurately completes state required documentation
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks
- Ability to constantly go up and down stairs
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Follows all company policies and procedures regarding GMPs, SOPs and Quality standards
- Effectively utilize time available to achieve results through prioritizing demands
- Maintains an air of professionalism and communicates effectively
- Demonstrates problem solving and decision making ability, as needed
- Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks of the job and a willingness to learn
- Other duties as assigned or required
