Location: Newberry,SC, USA
Job Purpose
To perform basic lubrication of chains and to assist higher - level maintenance mechanics in plant relation repairs as an entry-level mechanic in training.
In this position you will have the opportunity to:
* Perform manual lubrications
* Chain lube-drip can, oil pump can, pneumatic pressure can.
* Loader lug chain and 2nd pass brass slide lubrication.
* Maintain lube systems
* Bark Hog lube system, dryer drive chain lube system.
* Dryer Octopus lube system, forming line auto lube system.
* Pitman arm auto lube system, targon lube system, auto oil bottles.
* Maintain oil room.
* Monitor oil supplies, transport and arrange disposal as needed.
* Assist higher-level maintenance mechanics in plant related repairs.
* Perform routine preventative maintenance functions.
* To learn and train on maintenance functions.
* Perform other duties as necessary.
* Perform all duties in accordance with safety and environmental rules and regulations.

* Good understanding of the use and purpose of lubrication.
* Basic knowledge of maintenance functions.
* Knowledge of maintenance equipment and tools.
* Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
* Time management skills.
* Ability to read and understand safety and environmental rules and regulations.
Education
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
* 1 - 2 years' general maintenance experience required.
* Or any equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
Work Environment
* Manufacturing Plant Environment - Dusty at times with moving machinery, 24 hour operations with hot and cold temperatures.
* Ability to wear a respirator in required areas.
* Ability to operate mobile equipment.
* Ability to work at heights, work in tight or confined spaces.
