POSITION OVERVIEWAt JGM, a Millwright Forman plans and safely executes work activities, while providing technical assistance to the team. You will work directly with Clients, Superintendent, Project Managers, and the Field Operations Manager to establish a solid understanding of project strategy and specifications. You will be leading crews to execute a successful project. • Plan, direct, supervise, and coordinate the activities of workers involved in assembling, installing, aligning, and dismantling processing equipment, machinery, conveyors, steel structures, and other heavy components.
• Utilize various hand tools and equipment such as hoists, dollies, rollers, forklifts, and cranes to move machinery and equipment safely.
• Select appropriate methods and tools based on the weight and size of the load.
• Continuously plan work to ensure your team has the necessary materials and equipment to safely and efficiently deliver high-quality results.
• Participate in project pre-planning and short-term planning sessions.
• Monitor your team's safe execution of work while ensuring the highest quality of the finished product.
• Set and track production goals, reporting progress to the project team through daily logs.
• Coordinate project details and provide guidance on procedures and safety requirements.
• Delegate tasks, and continuously train and develop future foremen and journeymen, providing constructive feedback.
• Read and interpret blueprint drawings and specifications.
• Operate equipment such as man lifts, forklifts, welding units, and other machinery as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: 5-10 years as a journeyman Millwright in heavy industrial environments, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Must have experience in precision equipment setting and alignment using necessary tools (Theodolite, laser tracking, etc.)
• Technical Skills: Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical systems, interpreting blueprints, and using industry-standard tools and equipment. Strong knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, set and achieve goals, and provide constructive feedback. Strong strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with team members and clients. Bilingual is a plus.
• Adaptability: Quick learner, able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Certifications: Valid Driver's License. OSHA 30 or ability to complete upon hiring (training will be provided). NCCER and rigging credentials are a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong preference for candidates with industrial construction experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Requires prolonged walking, standing, sitting, bending, squatting, stooping, climbing, regular lifting and carrying to move up to 50 lbs., talking, hearing, reaching, feeling, grasping, and push/pulling.
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions/temperatures.
• Regular mental and visual attention much or all the time with manual coordination.
• Flexibility required to travel for all projects.

RESUMEN DE LA POSICINEn JGM, un Millwright Forman planifica y ejecuta de forma segura las actividades laborales, al tiempo que proporciona asistencia tcnica al equipo. Trabajar directamente con los clientes, el superintendente, los gerentes de proyecto y el gerente de operaciones de campo para establecer una comprensin slida de la estrategia y las especificaciones del proyecto. Liderars equipos para ejecutar un proyecto exitoso. • Planificar, dirigir, supervisar y coordinar las actividades de los trabajadores involucrados en el montaje, instalacin, alineacin y desmantelamiento de equipos de procesamiento, maquinaria, transportadores, estructuras de acero y otros componentes pesados.
• Utilice varias herramientas y equipos manuales como polipastos, plataformas rodantes, rodillos, montacargas y gras para mover maquinaria y equipo de manera segura.
• Seleccione los mtodos y herramientas apropiados en funcin del peso y el tamao de la carga.
• Planifique continuamente el trabajo para garantizar que su equipo tenga los materiales y equipos necesarios para ofrecer resultados de alta calidad de manera segura y eficiente.
• Participar en sesiones de planificacin previa del proyecto y de planificacin a corto plazo.
• Supervise la ejecucin segura del trabajo de su equipo al tiempo que garantiza la mxima calidad del producto terminado.
• Establezca y realice un seguimiento de los objetivos de produccin, informando del progreso al equipo del proyecto a travs de registros diarios.
• Coordinar los detalles del proyecto y proporcionar orientacin sobre los procedimientos y los requisitos de seguridad.
• Delegar tareas, y formar y desarrollar continuamente a los futuros capataces y oficiales, proporcionando comentarios constructivos.
• Leer e interpretar los planos y las especificaciones de los planos.
• Opere equipos como elevadores de personas, montacargas, unidades de soldadura y otra maquinaria segn sea necesario.

CALIFICACIONES

• Experiencia: 5-10 aos como oficial de molinos en entornos industriales pesados, con al menos 5 aos en un puesto de supervisin. Debe tener experiencia en el ajuste y alineacin de equipos de precisin utilizando las herramientas necesarias (teodolito, seguimiento lser, etctera).
• Habilidades tcnicas: Competente en la resolucin de problemas de sistemas mecnicos, interpretacin de planos, y uso de herramientas y equipos estndar de la industria. Conocimiento fuerte de las mquinas y de las herramientas, incluyendo su diseo, uso, reparacin, y mantenimiento.
• Liderazgo: Capacidad comprobada para liderar y motivar equipos, establecer y alcanzar metas, y proporcionar retroalimentacin constructiva. Fuerte pensamiento estratgico con una mentalidad orientada a resultados.
• Comunicacin: Excelentes habilidades de comunicacin verbal y escrita, con la capacidad de coordinarse eficazmente con los miembros del equipo y los clientes. Bilinge es una ventaja.Adaptabilidad: Aprende rpido, capaz de prosperar en un entorno cambiante y de ritmo rpido.
• Certificaciones: Licencia de conducir vigente. OSHA 30 o capacidad para completar al momento de la contratacin (se proporcionar capacitacin). NCCER y credenciales de aparejo son una ventaja.
• Conocimiento de la industria: Fuerte preferencia por candidatos con experiencia en construccin industrial.

REQUISITOS FSICOS Y ENTORNO DE TRABAJO

• Requiere caminar, pararse, sentarse, agacharse, ponerse en cuclillas, agacharse, trepar, levantar y cargar regularmente para mover hasta 50 libras, hablar, escuchar, alcanzar, sentir, agarrar y empujar/tirar.
• Debe ser capaz de trabajar en diversas condiciones climticas/temperaturas.
• Atencin mental y visual regular la mayor parte o todo el tiempo con coordinacin manual.
• Se requiere flexibilidad para viajar para todos los proyectos.
