Millwright Position Summary

The Millwright will install, maintain and repair of a variety of piping and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in industrial establishment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand-tools, and power tools. In addition, the millwright will read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.

Hiring Requirement/Preferences for Millwright

* High school diploma or equivalent and additional specialized training equal to a master craft designation.

* Completion of apprenticeship program and appropriate journeyman experience required.

* Minimum 5 years' experience in mechanical construction trades.

* Able to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy; follow instructions, read blueprints and make decisions based on measurable criteria.

* Must be able to visualize objects in three-dimension; use logical step-by-step procedures in work; make decisions based on measurable information.

* Must be able to adapt to frequent changes.

* Physically, must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; coordinate eye-hand movement; use hands and fingers fully; climb and maintain balance; see and hear well (either naturally or with correction); and stand, stoop, kneel and crouch.

* Pipefitter, and millwright licenses.

* Must have a valid unrestricted Driver's License.

* Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen (including negative drug screen for cannabis/marijuana).

* Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card. (company provided).

* OSHA 10 Certification, or ability to obtain during pre-employment (company provided online training).
