We're looking for a dedicated Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic to maintain and repair our rock crushing, screening, and conveying equipment.Position Overview: Are you a skilled Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic looking for a new challenge? Join Southwest Waste Services and play a key role in maintaining and improving our production equipment and facilities. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in mechanical maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial machinery.Key Responsibilities:Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on a variety of industrial machines.Installation: Install, align, and dismantle industrial machinery and equipment according to blueprints and technical manuals.Fabrication: Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed to maintain and modify equipment.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.Collaboration: Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to address equipment issues promptly and efficiently.QualificationsDemonstrated track record as a Millwright or Maintenance Mechanic within industrial environmentsExceptional mechanical aptitudeComprehensive understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systemsProficiency in electrical systems, including 480-volt industrial electrical workExpertise in PLC operations and step-down transformersCompetent welding skillsMinimum of a high school diploma or equivalentTechnical certification or apprenticeship in millwright or industrial maintenance preferredAdvanced troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilitiesAbility to work autonomously and collaborativelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to excellenceConsistent punctuality and dependabilityPhysical RequirementsCapacity to perform strenuous tasks, including:Lifting heavy equipmentClimbingStanding for prolonged periodsKey AttributesDedication to maintaining equipment reliabilityCommitment to producing high-quality workWhat We Offer:Competitive payComprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plansPaid time off and vacationOpportunities for career growth and advancementA supportive and collaborative work environmentApply Now!
