MINE ENGINEER

Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain environmental permits with regulatory agencies (BLM, USFS, DOGM)
Monitor mining operation to assure compliance that all environmental regulatory permits
Accompany agency personnel during environmental inspections
Plan and manage projects associated with environmental compliance
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mining/Civil/Environmental), Environmental Science, or equivalent experience
* Excellent planning and organizational skills
* Strong communication (listening, verbal, written) and interpersonal skills
* General understanding of engineering principles (material science, water/waste-water, soil/rock mechanics, hydraulics/pump networks, economics)
* Excellent computer skills (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineering License (PE)
* Experience in underground continuous and longwall mining methods
* Experience in regulatory (MSHA, BLM, USFS and/or DOGM) permitting and compliance
* Experience in project management
