Location: Greer,SC, USA
The City of Greer is currently accepting applications for a Ministerial Recorder in at our Court.
Responsibilities: Receives warrant requests from officers and determines if a warrant should be issued based on the Code (Probable Cause) and granting or denying the request; Sets bonds according to established guidelines; completing the necessary paperwork; Arraigns individuals arrested within the City of Greer to ensure all rights are provided; Sets court dates for Municipal Court cases; Determines if accused should be committed to confinement based on the Code, guidelines and previous record and completes applicable paperwork; Performs general administrative duties including data entry, typing, filing, etc.
Job Requirements: Must have a minimum of two years of experience in a criminal justice or legal field; Associate's degree in criminal justice or related area; Must be certified by the State of South Carolina as a certified judge or must obtain certification within the first year of employment..
Hours: Rotating every third weekend - on-call with set hours Saturdays from 9:00 am to noon and 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm and Sundays from 9:00 am to noon and 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm and rotating holidays.
Salary: Minimum $23.68 hourly; dependent on experience
