Position Overview
The primary duties of the Miscellaneous Labor position include safely performing a wide range of tasks that include stacking corrugated product, conducting quality checks, material set-up, learning to operate a variety of production equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized work-space. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to working safely, be able to be in a fast-paced, noisy environment, a strong desire to learn manufacturing processes and operating complex machinery. The position requires the ability to work on any shift, overtime as needed, and on weekends.
ResponsibilitiesOperate a variety of manufacturing equipment from flexo-folder/gluers, to a corrugator, to intricate die-cut machines. Must follow specific direction, operate powered hand tools, and other duties as assigned. Based on the requirements of the job, this is considered a safety-sensitive position. Must have the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Ability to read a tape measure to one-sixteenth of an inch, and have basic math and computer skills. Must work safely and comply with all safety policies and regulations. Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 pounds, navigate stairs and ladders, stand, walk, bend and kneel throughout the entire shift.
QualificationsHigh school or technical diploma or equivalent preferred. Candidates should have a working knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments. Candidates must be able to pass a background, drug screen, and pre-employment physical. Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
