Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC seeks an enthusiastic and highly qualified Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our diverse team as a level four Mission Partner Integration in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

We are seeking a candidate with valuable experience in operations assessments and lessons learned, as well as a proven track record in experiment design, operations research, data science, modeling and simulation, and data collection and analysis. The ideal candidate will excel in developing assessment planning and reporting, managing stakeholder engagement in the assessment and lessons learned processes, identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting staff-level work such as preparing task responses and document reviews for Data Analysis and Lessons Learned.

Skills / Experience Required

  • Hold Active Top Secret, SCI Eligible, SAP Accessible
  • 15+ years of practical expertise and relevant DoD experience
  • Well-versed in Joint Publication 5.0, Joint Planning, Chapter 6, Operation Assessment
  • Initiates, supervises, and develops operation assessments and lessons learned processes for complex programs
  • Designs and analyzes data experiments to help senior leadership track mission progress and enhance decision-making
  • Consults with clients to define needs, supervises studies, and analyzes data to recommend solutions
  • Conducts operational research, integrates models/simulations to produce decision-quality data and root cause analysis
  • Exceptional organizational and presentation skills for effective senior leadership communication
  • Prepares professional reports/presentations by summarizing complex information clearly
  • Expert in areas such as Statics and Experimental Design, Database Management, or Big Data Analytics
  • Provides technical system integration support across Air, Space, and Cyberspace Domains
  • Establishes partnerships/relationships at all leadership levels
  • Leads recurring meetings to establish requirements and follow up on action items for mission accomplishment
  • Manages technical and programmatic risk, requirements, and oversight of STARCOM program cost, schedule, and performance
  • Proficient in Physical Security and Risk Management/Safeguarding Classified Information
  • Works autonomously, interfaces seamlessly with team members and senior leadership
  • Outstanding leadership capabilities and fostering collaborative teamwork

Education / Certifications

  • Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MS), or Master of Engineering (ME) degree in a related field
  • Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of education

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
