Duties

This position allows you to use your knowledge and experience providing clerical support and assistance in support of the missions and functions of the agency at an assigned Border Patrol station.

This position starts at a salary of $44,336.00 (GS-06, Step 1) to $64,050.00 (GS-07, Step 10).

The Mission Support Assistant performs office support tasks. Duties and responsibilities include:

* Performing administrative support duties, to include Records Management, Privacy Act, correspondence management, and record keeping.

* Performing a variety of clerical duties to include, prepares travel arrangement, data processing and maintenance, and human resource s assistance.

* Assisting with personal property, procurement, supply management including timely equipment maintenance, service, and repairs.

* Customer Services to employees and the public.

Required Experience:

You qualify for the GS-06 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

* Using computers, software systems and automated systems to accomplish work.

* Filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, and using and completing forms.

* Working with clients and customers to assess needs, provide information or assistance, resolving issues, and providing quality products and services.

* Identifying problems, determining accuracy and relevance of information, using judgement to generate alternatives, and recommend solutions.

* Writing in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner.

You qualify for the GS-07 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

Education Substitution: Education substitution is not available for this Series and Grades.
