Job Title : Mechanical Life Test (Durability / Test Engineer)

Location: Auburn Hills, MI

Duration: Full time with Tata Technologies Benefits

The MLT Test Engineer will lead and support the development and execution of component, system level and powertrain testing for the release and validation groups. Thr primary area of responsibility will include but not limited to; leading component and vehicle system level test setup to meet development and DVP&R requirements. The MLT candidate will support fixture design and fabrication for all component and vehicle level testing which may include powertrain component development. The Test Engineer will also work with CAE, Release groups and Test Engineering to ensure the develoment and timely completion of current and future testing. The MLT engineer will also be responsible for test planning, maintaining current MLT projects within the lab and leading SBU personnel to achieve and maintain program timelines.

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET accredited University.
• 0-3 years of experience in automotive test engineering.
• Hardware In the Loop development/verification
• Database management
• Strong knowledge of statics, solids, and dynamics.
• Experience in performing Fatigue analysis of vehicle body components and body structures.

=Experience in conducting bench Fatigue testing of vehicle components in the lab.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite- specifically Access and Excel with VBA scripting.

Preferred Requirements

• Prefer some experience with Matlab, Simulink, Data Acquisition, Excel
• CAE analysis
• Knowledge in NX and TeamCenter.
