Do you live and breathe aviation? Love to travel to cool locations? Does it just so happen that you're one of the most efficient aircraft record scanners to ever sift through a box of documents?

Well, we might have the perfect role for you!

Bluetail is looking for an amazing, part time contractor to fill our Mobile Records Specialist position in the New York area. (only applications residing in this area will be considered)

The Mobile Records Specialist (MRS) is a part time contract position that is absolutely key to our customer onboarding process.

Does this sound like you?

  • You're knowledgeable about aircraft records, and really understand the importance of proper identification and security of these documents.
  • You love to travel to different cities and enjoy using multiple scanning devices to change the game for our customers (AKA digitizing their aircraft maintenance logbooks and supporting documents for them).
  • You're a pro — you have awesome communication skills, and understand the importance of wowing the customer.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Learn the Bluetail application, mission, and value props like the back of your hand.
  • Efficiently and accurately disassemble logbooks, along with other related binders, folders and envelopes.
  • Scan the images utilizing a provided scanning device and reassemble documents into original condition.
  • Process digitized files and upload them to a shared server using basic computer software and systems.
  • Work under tight deadlines to complete each assigned project.
  • Update and monitor project statuses in Bluetail's project management tool, Monday, and communicate daily status.
  • Assist in the coordination of activities and communication between Bluetail internal support and our customers.

Here's what you'll need to be successful:

  • Experience working with aircraft maintenance documents (logbooks, work orders, regulatory forms, etc.). Business aircraft records experience is a plus.
  • Prior customer service background, preferably in an aviation environment.
  • Experience working collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft, Google and Adobe applications.
  • Must have good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must have excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Comfortable working in remote customer locations.
  • Able to work in demanding situations with changing priorities.
  • Clean driving record and current state driver's license.
  • “Road Warrior” mentality - willingness to travel, often on short notice, to customer facilities.

Still with us? Here's what's in it for you:

  • Competitive pay
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Travel to some pretty cool cities
  • Hanging out with other aviation geeks
