Join us on our mission to heal humanity, one child and family at a time.Job SummaryThis paragraph summarizes the general nature, level and purpose of the job.The Mobile Clinic Driver provides clinical and administrative assistance to the mobile medical unit of the Packard Children's Health Van Project (i.e., scheduling, registering and managing patients). The mobile medical unit is 38 Ft. In addition, this position is responsible to drive the mobile medical unit to and from the designated areas and assisting in the maintenance of the vehicle.Essential FunctionsThe essential functions listed are typical examples of work performed by positions in this job classification. This role does not transport passengers.+ Assures van is maintained and all systems are functioning properly.+ Schedules routine maintenance, repair and cleaning for the van.+ Reports van maintenance problems to appropriate supervisor in a timely way to minimize disruption in van activities.+ Communicates stocking, maintenance and cleaning needs to appropriate departments; checks completion and keeps logs of such activities up to date.+ Develops appropriate systems and check lists for relief driver(s) to operate equipment safely and effectively.+ Manages paperwork related to registration.+ Processes forms related to patient check-in and check-out, assists in locating and preparing medical records for patient visit, filing and chart maintenance.+ Operates, sets-up and secures mobile medical unit in safe manner in accordance with Project Policy.+ Performs clerical functions as needed.+ Registers patients for service and provides other clinic support as delegated by MD/NP on-site.Minimum QualificationsAny combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Experience: Two (2) years of progressively responsible and directly related work experience.License/Certification: California Driver's License.Knowledge, Skills, & AbilitiesThese are the observable and measurable attributes and skills required to perform successfully the essential functions of the job and are generally demonstrated through qualifying experience, education, or licensure/certification.+ Ability to adapt to and deal with change and ambiguity.+ Ability to observe and recall names, places and incidents, read and understand laws, ordinances, departmental rules and policies.+ Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, work independently and meet deadlines.+ Ability to relate to others in a calm, tactful and courteous manner.+ Ability to solve problems and identify solutions.+ Ability to speak and write effectively at a level appropriate for the job.+ Ability to work in a fast paced work environment.+ Ability to work well with individuals at all levels of the organization.+ Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.+ Knowledge of local, state and federal regulatory requirements related to areas of functional responsibility.Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsThe Physical Requirements and Working Conditions in which the job is typically performed are available from the Occupational Health Department.
