Grant-Funded Role: Grant ends August 31, 2026Requirement: LCSW and Licensed CASACPosition Overview:We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Provider who is also a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to join our Mobile Community Support Therapeutic Team.The Mental Health Provider will provide therapeutic counseling and support to patients experiencing drug or alcohol dependency, educate families in the best ways to help in the recovery process, and work with both patients and families to promote optimum mental health. The services provided to the patients will include mental health and substance use assessments, crisis intervention, treatment and discharge planning, individual and group therapeutic counseling, psychoeducation, and referrals. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Ryan Health.Essential Functions:The essential functions of the Mobile Community Support Clinician is to provide crisis intervention, mental health and substance abuse screenings, assessment of substance use (Motivational Interviewing and SBIRT), and short term therapeutic individual, family and group counseling to patients in the community who are experiencing mental health and substance use challenges.* Maintain an assigned caseload of patients with diverse mental health and substance use needs.* Must demonstrate the ability to provide quality, patient-centered, evidence-based treatment to individuals, groups and families who experience mental health and substance use disorders.* Must demonstrate the ability to provide the SBIRT model of screening.* Must have experience with relapse prevention, reduction of alcohol and cannabis use, and smoking cessation.* Must have experience administering mental health and substance use screenings, treatment and discharge planning, and making quick clinical assessments and referrals to licensed substance use disorder treatment programs.* Traveling with the Mobile Team on designated days, at least twice a week, is essential.* Providing psychoeducation about harm reduction methods and treatment options.* Coordinating care with Medically Assisted Treatment providers, as well as others providing treatment to patient.* Maintain professional competence by attending professional conferences, trainings, in-service seminars and other trainings as assigned.* Participate in staff meetings and case conferences with mental health teams throughout the network.* Participate in weekly individual or group supervision* Serve as rotating Mental Health representative for Ryan's after hours on-call patient service.* Adhere to all agency and departmental policies and procedures.* Must demonstrate a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude in dealing with patients, immediate supervisor, and other employees.Other* Immediately report any problems or unusual occurrences to supervisor/s* Perform other duties/special assignments as assigned.QualificationsMinimum Experience and Skills Required:* Five (5) years of direct clinical experience with a diverse population* Three (3) years of supervisory experience* Minimum of 1 year experience working with the substance abuse population* Effective communication, listening, problem solving, and writing skills* Excellent Crisis Intervention Skills* Proven track record of organization skills, attention to detail and ability to respond promptly to requests* Excellent written and oral communication skills* Strong computer literacy with proficiency in standard office software/hardware such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.* Demonstrate cultural competencyEducation, Licenses and/or Certifications Required:* Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)* Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC)Preferred Qualifications:* Bilingual Spanish-speakingCompetencies Required:Customer Service:* Professional, courteous and respectful attitude in dealing with patients* Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served (if applicable)* Commits to exceeding expectations of the patientCooperation/Teamwork* Works well with others* Contributes input to improve outcomes* Commits to exceeding expectations of the patient* Asks others for opinions and feedback; provides and accepts feedback in a tactful respectful wayMinimal Training Time180-day introductory period.Working ConditionsPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
