StarCare's Mobile Crisis Outreach Team (MCOT) is a highly trained team dedicated to serving those in mental health crisis within StarCare's five (5) county catchment area. If you operate well within a team environment and want to be a part of making a difference in people's lives, then this is the job for you!Work is performed under the general supervision of the MCOT Program Manager with broad latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. This is a field based position and requires the use of a personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement is provided at the state approved rate.RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides crisis assessment/intervention and ANSA/CANS Assessments for adults, adolescents, and children.
- Provides appropriate recommendations for hospitalization, 23-hour Extended Observation, referrals to crisis services, and assists with linkage to community resources.
- Coordinates and facilitates additional crisis intervention services as needed with StarCare staff, law enforcement and other agencies within the five county StarCare catchment area.
- Provides follow-up services to individuals as clinically indicated.
- Completes Magistrate Warrants when appropriate.
- Completes all required documentation within established timeframes.
- Attends meetings and trainings as necessary/required.
- Assists supervisor and other Center staff with special assignments and/or projects as needed.
AVAILABLE SHIFTS:
- 12 hour shifts Sunday through Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 2pm-2am
- 12 hour shifts Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday 2pm-2am
- 12 hour shifts Thursday through Saturday and every other Wednesday 8pm-8am
HOURLY RATE: $22.85 per hour base salary plus rate enhancements (as applicable).RATE ENHANCEMENTS:
- Master Level Restricted LPHA (Licensed Practitioner of Healing Arts): $1 per hour
- Master Level Unrestricted LPHA: $6 per hour
- Night shift: $1 per hour (Night differential is applied to hours worked between 8pm and 8am)

- Graduation from an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in a Human Services field (Human Development/Family Studies, Psychology, Sociology, etc.).
- Two (2) years full-time experience in a related field or
- Master's Degree in a Human Service related field with applicable licensure to include:
- Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Licensed Master of Social Worker-Advanced Clinical Practitioner (LMSW-ACP) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Crisis work experience, preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish), preferred.

- Must be able to work well as a member of a team.
- Must have and be able to show compassion for those in mental health crisis.
- Must be able to muti-task and work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
- Must have strong communication skills (verbal and written) and be able to deliver information in stressful situations.
- Must be able to use a personal computer with Microsoft Office products.
- Must be able to navigate an electronic health record platform.
- Must be willing to embrace and embody StarCare's corporate culture.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle. Local travel is required and mileage reimbursement is provided.
- Must have current Texas driver's license and be insurable under the organization's insurance.
- Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check and drug screen.
