Job Summary:As a Mobile Technician II, you are responsible for performing intermediateservice and repair of J.B. Hunt tractors, trailers, chassis, containers orpower equipment. Under routine supervision, this role works outside of theshop, servicing equipment at customer sites or rail yards using our mobileservice truck.
Job Description:
The expected starting pay range for this position is between$25.47-$38.20.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performintermediate-level preventive maintenance and repairs, including tirereplacements, brake repairs, electrical diagnostics and basic structuralrepairs on tractor or trailer equipment
- Troubleshootand repair ABS system
- Properlyoperate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory
- Assistwith the onboarding and mentorship of tractor technician trainees
- Followall safety requirements while onsite and at customer locations
- Accuratelycomplete work orders and other written materials according to establishedprocedures
- Properlydocument damage to company equipment to estimate cost of repairsDemonstrate proficient use of a cutting torch and welding equipment toperform mid-level repairs on chassis, frames, and other equipment
- Patchholes in trailer or container side panels and roofs
- Performannual AA trailer and FHWA brake inspections under direct supervision

Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 18years of age for equipment up to 10,000 lbs or 21 years of age forequipment over 10,000 lbs with 2 years of experience in semi-tractor orsemi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination ofeducation and experience, or military equivalent
- ANDDemonstration of the following skills and abilities through education,certifications, military, or other experiences
- Possessa clean motor vehicle record per J.B. Hunt guidelines
- Ableto supply your own basic tools or purchase through our toolbox purchaseprogram
- Willingnessto work outdoors in the elements
- Ableto work across multiple shifts, including nights and/or weekends, ifneeded
Preferred Qualifications:
- HighSchool Diploma or GED equivalent with 2 years of experience insemi-tractor or semi-trailer maintenance and repair, or equivalentcombination of education and experience, or military equivalent
- DOTcertified in FHWA inspections and air brakes, with 1 year experienceconducting inspections
- Weldingcertification
- Forkliftcertification and experience
- EPAsection 608 certification and refrigeration license
- Abilityto effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas throughvarious mediums
- Abilityto manage multiple priorities
- Abilityto work both independently and as part of a team
- Proficientcomputer skills and/or comfortable working with a computer, includingMicrosoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Abilityto use time and resources efficiently and effectively
- Abilityto fulfill physical requirements (lift/move appliance up to 50 pounds)
- Abilityto wear appropriate work attire (protective gear/PPE)
Compensation: Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education, experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may be eligible for annual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of the Company's bonus and incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
