The Mobile Technician will repair and maintain all types of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment. The technician will perform job duties independently with limited supervision mentor and assist vehicle technicians as needed, complete Commercial Customer asset PMs and Repairs at remote Commercial Customer work sites. Duties & Responsibilities Perform basic electrical, mechanical diagnostic, and repair of customer vehicles and equipment, including material handling, trailers, and diesel-powered equipment Ability to diagnose and repair automatic brake systems Maintain accurate parts inventory, researches and resolve all discovered inventory discrepancies, and notifies maintenance management when a resolution is not available Maintain the cleanliness and safety of work area and warehouse, perform other tasks as determined and requested by management Serve as a mentor for Vehicle Technicians B and C, may perform other duties as assigned Perform other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Basic skills in welding and cutting torch operation Basic diagnostic tool skills Basic Computer knowledge Professional and appropriate interaction with internal and external customers Ability to schedule and prioritize daily tasks The technician needs to provide their own tools Ability to comprehend and follow verbal and written instructions Tools, equipment, machinery and, or materials used Operate power, hand, diagnostic tools, and material handling equipment Must be capable of driving company equipment including class 8 tractors Must be capable of driving and working out of a mobile shop truck Must be able to work a flexible schedule and potentially be able to vary the start and finish times including weekends and holidays Must be able to lift 50lbs Must be able to stand and walk for shift assigned must be able to work out in the elements at commercial customer work sites Must adhere to company uniform and appearance standards Ability to work remotely at various commercial customer sites without direct supervision Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED Knowledge acquired through 3-5 years of work experience Class A CDL and maintaining it is required Preferred Qualifications Refrigerant Recovery and Recycle Certifications A.S.E. certification D.O.T.
