Job Type Full-time Description Command Post Technologies (CPT) is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support to the to support the E20 Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA. The Ideal candidate will support the Precision Fire Control program, developing a fire control system that will enable high precision for small, guided interceptors. Responsibilities: •Minimum of a High School education. •Experience in applying engineering services to engagement system. •components and assemblies. This experience includes developing and testing solutions to solve •technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance, •and assisting engineers in inspecting products, conducting tests, and collecting data. •Three (3) years of experience in assembly, preferred. •Two (2) years of SMT Hand Soldering. •Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. •Ability to work is on site, 5 days a week. Requirements Five or more years' experience as a systems engineer, with two or more years working with model-based system engineering processes.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering
  • Previous experience as a risk analyst or project risk manager
  • Experience writing and implementing system safety plans and processes, including hazard analysis techniques
  • Experience with weapon systems development across Navy and/or Marine Corp teams
  • Demonstrated understanding of Model-Based Systems Engineering processes and applications
  • Experience working with Innoslate highly desired
  • Familiarity with the SysML or Lifecycle Modeling languages desired, but not required
  • Ability to work independently and within established teams to meet established goals within schedule driven timelines
  • Experience developing and presenting technical briefs
Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
  • Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
