- Maintain high productivity while following all established procedures.
- Understand and follow the machine shop schedule while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the machine shop.
- Maintain high morale with employees while meeting or exceeding performance and quality expectations.
Specific Responsibilities
- Operates machine tools, including but not limited to: Manual and CNC lathes, milling machines and grinding machines
- Operates power tools, including: die grinders and rotary tools
- Uses hand tools such as files and honing stones
- Utilizes computer aided technologies, (CNC, CAM, and Conversational Programming).
- Communicates any component damage and/or maintenance issues to the Technical Services Manager.
- Prioritize daily and weekly tasks.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Successful completion of relevant machinist program.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience preferred.
- Strong mechanical background preferred.
- Prior experience working with Aluminum, Beryllium Copper and Stainless Steel is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
