JOB SUMMARYEnsure the internal shell of molds is free of any particles that may cause a defect in the casting. Inspect molds for integrity, defects and damage. Repair any defect visible. Wrap and insulate molds to help improve the integrity of the casting.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Remove shell and recover hardware from the mold.
- Push mold on cart into boiler clave operation.
- Load into firing oven keeping temperatures under 300 degrees.
- Inspect Mold, including boroscope, looking for cracks and defects in internal and external structure.
- Clean Mold using air pressure and water wash.
- Repair Mold as necessary as instructed by Engineering.
- Load Mold into preheat kilns/operation of preheat kilns by manipulator.
- Load Mold into casting furnace per instructions.
- Cut shape of baffle using CNC routing table.
- Change baffle as required.
- Perform routine maintenance on above equipment.
- Enter data into software databases using Word, Excel, Oracle and written logs (quality records).
- Clean area and equipment.
- Perform 6S Responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: Manufacturing Experience Desired.
- Certifications/Licenses: N/A
- Other Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Read. Write legibly. Basic computer skills. Forklift operation. Knowledge of equipment. Good verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal skills. Safety conscious. Sense of urgency.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
- Working Environment: Shop Floor.
- Required PPE: PPE varies throughout the plant, check to ensure proper PPE is being used.
- Safety Glasses: Needed in all areas of the plant.
- Steel toe shoes: Needed in all areas of the plant.
