Job Title: Mold Setup Technician - Night ShiftJob DescriptionThe Mold Setup Technician is responsible for changing and setting up mold machines, providing maintenance support to maximize production efficiency. This role offers a clear path to becoming a Master Technician, making it an excellent career development opportunity.ResponsibilitiesChange and set up mold machines.Provide mechanical support by troubleshooting malfunctions of the injection machine.Remove wires and hoses to pull tooling and molds out of the press after a run.Select and place new tooling within the machine, ensuring proper connection of wires and hoses.Support the Process Technician by ensuring tooling is ready for use.Essential SkillsMechanical aptitude with understanding of tools and ability to assemble/disassemble mechanical components.Experience using a multi-meter.Experience in mechanical repair, mold change, mold setting, and injection molding.Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.Ability to read and understand blueprints.Experience in machine setup and changeover processes.Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior industrial manufacturing experience working on machinery.Experience with overhead cranes.Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures.Cylinder repair experience.Any industrial maintenance experience.Prior plastics and mold setting experience is a significant plus.Why Work Here?We love to cross-train and promote from within! The work environment is hot and loud, with a noticeable hot plastic smell. It is a non-climate controlled facility. The dress code includes t-shirts, hoodies without strings, sweatshirts, and sleeveless tops that do not show the stomach, shoulder, or cleavage areas. Jeans, shorts, cargo pockets, basketball shorts, and sweatpants are acceptable, but leggings, jeggings, or any type of spandex are not. Closed-toe shoes with rubber soles are required.
