Monitoring Project EngineerPosition Summary:The Monitoring Project Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the implementation and execution of monitoring activities across the project. This role involves ensuring that all monitoring processes are conducted in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. The Monitoring Project Engineer will collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of projects.Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement monitoring plans for construction projects, ensuring all activities are tracked and documented according to project requirements.
- Oversee the collection, processing, and analysis of data from various monitoring systems (e.g., environmental, structural, geotechnical) to assess project performance and identify potential issues.
- Prepare detailed reports on monitoring activities, including data trends, compliance with safety standards, and recommendations for corrective actions. Ensure timely submission of reports to project managers and stakeholders.
- Ensure all monitoring activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as project-specific requirements. Stay updated on relevant regulations and standards to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate monitoring activities into the overall project plan. Provide technical support and guidance on monitoring-related issues.
- Identify potential risks related to monitoring activities and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure that any identified risks are communicated promptly to project management.
- Oversee the installation, calibration, and maintenance of monitoring equipment on-site. Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and is properly documented.
- Monitor and enforce quality control standards throughout the monitoring process, ensuring that all data collected is accurate, reliable, and consistent.
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies that arise during the monitoring process. Work with project teams to implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience in environmental, structural, or geotechnical monitoring is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with construction project management processes and best practices.
- Knowledge of relevant monitoring systems and equipment.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for monitoring activities.
