Whether you are a teacher, an administrator, or a potential support staff employee, if you want to make a difference, we want to hear from you.Job SummaryCoordinate an in-school suspension program providing structured academic and counseling experiences for students referred for violating school regulations.What you will doEstablish and maintain a constructive learning environment.Secure lesson assignments from classroom teachers and monitor work.Provide assistance and remedial instruction in completing assignments. Identify special needs and secure available resources.Provide for individual and group exploration of problem behavior and alternatives.Collaborate with staff to facilitate successful reintegration into the student's regular program.Maintain necessary records on students in the program.Conduct parent conferences when appropriate.Conduct follow-up evaluation of the student's learning program.Education QualificationsBachelor's Degree in a related field RequiredExperience Qualifications1-3 years Directly applicable experience working with individuals and groups of children considered difficult  or disruptive  RequiredEquivalencyStarting At: $20.72Salaries are determined by factors relevant to the position which may include education, experience, and other qualifications. Final compensation decisions are made at the discretion of MNPS in alignment with organizational policies and procedures. The stated salary range for certificated teaching positions is calculated based on 201 days and should be viewed as a reference. All provided salary ranges serve as a general guideline.
