Position Type: Support Staff/TutorDate Posted: 5/10/2023Location: Montessori Magnet SchoolClosing Date: 09/02/2024Part Time Tutor 19.5 hours per week CREC Montessori Magnet School is looking for part time tutors for up to 19.5 hours per week (am and pm hours available) to improve student achievement by assisting classroom teachers and our literacy coach in the planning and implementation of individual and small group instruction of targeted interventions in literacy and/or mathematics. This individual will be responsible for planning and providing small group lessons for students in math and literacy. Keeping track of student progress and collaboration with classroom teachers and support staff is a critical part of the job. In addition, this individual will play an essential role in our Early Intervention Planning Team and will be trained in maintaining data in a web based program called EdHub. Filling in for teachers as needed, administering assessments, and performing daily, before, midday, and after school duties are all expectations for this position. Each day begins at 8:30 and concludes at 12:00. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree and have excellent communication and collaborative skills Job Requirements - Bachelor's degree. Must be able to implement effective instructional strategies and possess the ability to work successfully as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Tutors earn $20 an hour.
