The Morning Care Assistant supports and advances the mission of FCS by directing the activities of our early arriving morning care students; reports to the Extended Care Coordinator and is evaluated by the Principal. Morning Care runs from 6:30-8:30am daily, M-F.
Arrives promptly and stays until such time as necessary responsibilities are completedDevelops a warm rapport with students and a positive, secure environment; trains students in habits and routines which are part of the FCS philosophy; maintains excellent student conduct and attentionKeeps accurate sign-in/sign-out sheets and any other appropriate recordsPrepares Bible lessons and weekly and seasonal crafts, integrating Biblical principles throughout the programPrays regularly for each child and faithfully follows the Biblical guidelines of the schoolConveys a Christian perspective in daily interactions and conversations with sensitivity and love with parents and studentsMaintains student and family confidentiality and refrains from discussing issues outside of extended care with parentsSupervises students in the gym, observing principles of safety at all timesInteracts with students, building relationships through one-on-one and group activitiesEngages in physical play with children in grades Pre-K up to 5thSupervises restroom timeHelps keep the extended care rooms tidy and the materials organizedMaintains organization of storage areasChecks email regularly and completes timecard promptlyAnnually maintains CPR and First Aid Training certification and submits Staff Health Report and any other required documents in a timely mannerDemonstrates professional responsibility in being punctual and diligent in attendanceDresses modestly, following the Staff Dress CodeSeeks an awareness of the total school vision and serves willingly in special areas which enhance the overall effectiveness of the ministry Requirements1. Committed Christian with a close personal walk with the Lord and the Christian character qualities to serve as a role model for young people2. Regular in attendance at an evangelical Protestant church3. Commitment to a Biblical lifestyle, not promoting or engaging in premarital, extramarital, transgender, or homosexual behavior4. If married, a solid commitment based on Mark 10:9 and positive marital relationship5. Strong commitment to Christian education6. Ability to maintain an orderly learning atmosphere7. Enthusiastic, sensitive, loving rapport with students, openness with parents and staff8. Well organized, diligent, creative9. Ability to carry out physical requirements related to the job and building environment, such as (but not limited to) climbing stairs and supervising students both out-of-doors and indoors10.
