TEKsystems is searching for qualified candidates to fill openings for a Mortgage Closer position with a Fortune 100 Company in Pensacola, FL to start on January 6th.
This is a hybrid role which will require you to be onsite at least 2-3 days per week.
Please note there is a strict no time off policy for the first 6 months.
Job Description:
+ To close first mortgage/equity loans in accordance with applicable federal/state laws as well as the credit unions' policies and procedures. Prepare mortgage packages for delivery to settlement companies for purposes of closing on conventional, Veteran's Administration (VA) and Federal Housing Administration (FHA) mortgage products. To coordinate the closing and funding of assigned loan packages.
Responsibilities:
* Authorize release of closing packages to closing agent - Under supervision
* Determine amount to be withheld from loan proceeds, request and process internal payoffs and prepare request for loan disbursement
* Determine status of title and review mortgagees, mortgagors, manner of title and existing/proposed liens for accuracy
* Ensure credit, underwriting and property conditions have been satisfied prior to closing
* Evaluate title exceptions and determine if applicable; clear any mortgage related deficiencies within specified time period - Basic research/review
* Examine property status reports and property insurance policies for accuracy in documents and proper coverage
* Maintain contact with lawyers, settlement agents and real estate brokers regarding the status of closing package
* Monitor mortgage loan process and ensure compliance with Federal laws, as well as, NCUA and secondary market practices, guidelines and regulations
* Prepare fully executed mortgage file for post-closing
* Provide closing agent with information for title binder and specifics about documents and conditions required for closing
* Review preliminary and final closing package including HUD-1 for RESPA compliance - Moderately Complex/Varied
* Review property surveys for unacceptable or uninsurable encroachments or violations
* Schedule settlement with closing agent, member, seller and realtor
* Verify completeness and accuracy of approved credit packages
* Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
+ High School Diploma/GED
+ 1-3 years of recent experience in banking, financial, real estate, or legal work
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and data entry skills
+ Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced & deadline-driven work environment
+ Ability to work independently
+ Strong attention to detail and accuracy
+ Excellent communication and organizational skills
+ Preferred: Knowledge of mortgage loan closing procedures, documents, and compliance requirements
+ Preferred: Proficiency in mortgage loan software systems (e.g., Encompass)
Pay Rate: $18.44/hour
Training Hours: Training is the first 9 weeks - Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm CST (3 DAYS A WEEK WORKING ONSITE)
Regular Schedule (starts after training): Monday-Friday, will be assigned a shift and MUST be able to work BOTH times, 8:30am-5:00pm OR 10:30am-7pm CST *** MUST BE ABLE TO WORK BOTH SHIFT TIMES***
Location: HYBRID schedule working onsite 2 days a week is required (3 days a week onsite during the first 9 weeks of training)
Time Off Policy: NO TIME OFF APPROVED FOR THE FIRST 6 MONTHS
