Yorktown, Virginia

1st Advantage Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a full time Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant to support our busy Mortgage department. Scheduled hours will be 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

This position is responsible for facilitating the completion of real estate loan application, collect, analyze and review supporting loan documentation in accordance with loan guidelines and provide support throughout the loan application process. The successful candidate must have good verbal and written communication skills, and a good working knowledge of MS Office products to include Outlook, Excel, Word, Knowledge of mortgage software products preferred.

Knowledge of Lending Regulations is required.

Mortgage Loan Officer Assistant Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

* Serve as the primary contact and liaison between members, the mortgage sales coordinator and assigned loan originator to obtain documentation needed. Maintain close contact with the members to follow up on outstanding documents needed.

* Upload documentation into Encompass when file is ready to be submitted.

* Perform all order outs for the assigned loan originators, monitor and follow up on outstanding order out requests weekly.

* Follow up with members on outstanding underwriting conditions.

* Follow up with closer for CD to go out 7 days prior to estimated closing date.

* Assist member with e-consent and initial disclosure issues. Follow up on outstanding disclosure packages/consent.

* Mange pipeline for assigned loan officer(s).

Performance Measurements:

* Initial member contact within 24 hours of welcome email.

* Documents saved and uploaded into U drive same day or within 24 hours of review and receipt.

* Order outs placed timely, and status monitored daily/weekly.

* CD's are sent timely.

Qualifications:

Experience Three years to five years of similar or related experience.

Education A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.

Interpersonal Skills Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much

personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or

obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation.

Other Skills

* Must have good verbal and written communication skills.

* Good working knowledge of MS Office products to include Outlook, Excel, Word.

* Knowledge of mortgage software products preferred.

* Knowledge of Lending Regulations required.

Physical Requirements

Talking-Especially where one must frequently convey details or important instructions, ideas, etc. accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Average Hearing-Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

Finger Dexterity-Using primarily just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects or pinching fingers together.

Repetitive Motion-Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

Average Visual Abilities-Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents, products or operate machinery.

Physical Strength-Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Approximately 75% or more of time (constantly) is spent working at a desk. Balance of time (25% or occasionally) is spent moving around work areas.
