Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Mortgage Specialist to provide support to clients. This role involves managing insurance-related communications, addressing member inquiries, and ensuring all loans have adequate homeowners' insurance coverage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Policy Monitoring: Daily tracking of existing homeowners' insurance policies to ensure adequate coverage.
- Communication Management: Promptly respond to insurance-related phone calls, emails, and voicemails.
- External Coordination: Collaborate with insurance agencies and external partners to collect necessary policy documentation and perform follow-ups as needed.
- Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) Oversight: Monitor reports and manage CPI policies for force-placed insurance.
- Cancellation Management: Review cancellation reports, address cancellation notices, and contact members before placing CPI.
- Data Accuracy: Ensure current insurance policy information is accurate in all relevant Servicing systems, verifying core range, deductible, and mortgagee clauses, and making necessary updates.
- Documentation Management: Upload insurance letters into the imaging system.
- Customer Service Support: Serve as a secondary backup for answering incoming Servicing phone calls.
- Additional Duties: Perform other related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience: One to three years of similar or related experience. ( Insurance / Mortgage experience )
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong relationship-building and customer service skills; ability to handle confidential discussions with diplomacy and tact.
- Technical Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
