Job Responsibilities:- Support General Manager in daily operation of motel to ensure all guest service standards are met
- Manage front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance staff
- Assist with motel budgeting, financial plans, and daily activities to ensure the smooth running of motel
- Collaborate with other departments and General Manager to develop an annual budget, and assess performance throughout the year, making modifications as needed to preserve profitability
- Address guest complaints and maintain motel standards
- Manage compliance with company or brand-established policies and procedures and any local, state, and federal laws and regulations
- Other duties as required
Job Requirements:- High school qualification or equivalent
- Bachelor's or associate's degree in hospitality management, business, or similar field preferred but not required
- Minimum of one year in a hotel/motel Assistant Manager or General Manager role
- Strong understanding of hotel/motel operations
- Excellent critical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well-presented and professional appearance
- Competency with Microsoft Office products
- Must have flexible schedule and ability to work Saturdays and holidays
- Must be willing to learn from constructive criticism and change / adapt to new methods as needed from the business environment and challenges
- Ability to adapt and stay calm in challenging situations
