The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) has an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated, reliable individual with a strong work ethic to fill the Motor Truck Driver position at the Wrentham Developmental Center (WDC).Duties and Responsibilities: (these duties and responsibilities stated are a general summary and not all inclusive.)* Transport individuals to and from their residences to day programs both on campus and in community.* Ensure the transport of residents and staff to and from medical appointments, make delivers and transport individuals on community trips.* Maintain records and prepare reports on vehicle use and mileage, and report to supervisor when repairs are needed.* Preform vehicle preventative maintenance, repairs, and cleaning.* Load and unload materials, equipment, and supplies.* Bring materials, medical records, etc. to designated areas in and around facility and greater Boston area and state-wide.Preferred Qualifications:* Excellent driving record.* Knowledge of state laws, rules and regulations and safety practices governing motor vehicle operation.* Familiarity characteristics and uses of vehicles, buses, and passenger vans.* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.* Ability to maintain accurate records.* Passenger EndorsementSpecial Requirements:* Possess a current and valid Massachusetts Class B (CDL) Motor Vehicle Operator's License.* This position is designated as an EMERGENCY position in the Department of Developmental Services Emergency Plan.
